The Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has released the results and final answer keys for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2025. Candidates who appeared for the APTET 2025 examination can now download the marks memo from the official website — tet2dsc.apcfss.in. They have to log in using their username and password.
A total of 2,71,692 candidates had applied for the AP TET 2025 examination, out of which 2,48,427 candidates appeared for the test. Out of those who appeared, 97,560 candidates passed the exam. The overall pass percentage is approximately 47.82%, as per reports.
The AP TET 2025 examination was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode from December 10 onwards, with the exam held in two shifts each day. The test was organised for candidates seeking eligibility for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools across the state. Following the completion of the exam, the department had released the preliminary answer keys on December 19, inviting objections from candidates within the stipulated window.
The AP TET is conducted annually by the Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts in Classes 1 to 8. Candidates who qualify Paper I are eligible to teach Classes 1 to 5, while those who clear Paper II can teach Classes 6 to 8. Candidates who qualify both papers become eligible to teach Classes 1 to 8 in government schools across Andhra Pradesh.
Qualifying the AP TET is mandatory for appointment as teachers in government, aided, and private schools in the state. As per the norms laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the TET certificate remains valid for a lifetime, providing long-term eligibility to successful candidates.
Additionally, the AP TET score holds significant importance in the recruitment process. The score carries a 20 per cent weightage in the Teacher Recruitment Tests (TRT) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh government, making it a key component for aspirants aiming for teaching careers in the state.
