Comedian-actor Sunil Grover recently left everyone impressed with his mimicry of Aamir Khan on Netflix’s The Kapil Sharma Show. Even the 50-year-old actor was proud of his convincing act and even praised him for the same. From Sunil’s hair, beard, glasses, to his mannerisms, everything was on point. Joining the fun of the viral mimicry video, paparazzi tried to play around it at a recent event.

A special screening of Aamir Khan Productions’ Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, starring Vir das, was hosted in Mumbai, on Wednesday. At the event, Aamir arrived hand-in-hand with his girlfriend Gauri Spratt. As soon as he walked the red carpet to pose for the cameras, paps started addressing him as Sunil instead of Aamir. Gauri started laughing and the actor gave an amused reaction and burst out laughing. He was wearing a simple black t-shirt with blue denim jeans.

The same thing happened when Sunil Grover arrived solo at the event and posed for the paparazzi. They called him Aamir Khan, leaving the comedian-actor smiling wide. He chose a blue short achkan with black trousers for he occasion. The funny moment instantly went viral on social media, as it left fans laughing out loud.

Recently, in a promotional video of Happy Patel, Aamir Khan got into trouble because of Sunil Grover’s impersonation of him, leading to a lot of chaos. In the clip, Vir Das enters in Aamir’s office, only to find Grover sitting there, completely in the actor’s character. When Vir asks him, Sunil answers, “I have been working out.” He appreciates Vir’s performance in the film and says, “I am so proud of you, man. What a picture you have made, Happy Patel… It’s my experience. If the picture doesn’t turn out to be a superhit, then I am not Aamir Khan. Oscar, Oscar, Oscar.”

The comedian-actor even gives Vir a cheque, saying, “Here, take this cheque for the sequel. I really want to make it.” However, the situation goes out of hand when the real Aamir Khan walks inside and questions, “Who are you?” Sunil instantly replies, “Aap kaun hai bhaisahab?,” leaving everyone around them confused. The actor then calls security to kick out the impersonator, but Sunil convinces the guards that he is the real Aamir. They, they take the real Aamir Khan out of his own office, while Sunil takes his seat.

After Sunil Grover’s mimicry of Aamir Khan went viral recently, he praised him for his performance during an interview with Bollywood Hungama. “I wouldn’t even call it mimicry. It was so authentic, I felt like I was watching myself. I saw a small clip, and now I’m going to watch the whole episode. What I saw was priceless. I was laughing so much I couldn’t breathe! There was no malice in it at all. I must have laughed the loudest,” he said.
