JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 city intimation slip soon. The document is likely to be made available in the first week of January 2026. Once released, candidates appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) January session will be able to access the city slip through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination is scheduled to be conducted from January 21 to January 30, 2026, in two shifts each day. The first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The city intimation slip will inform candidates about the city in which their examination centre is located, allowing them to plan travel and accommodation in advance. It should be noted that the city slip is different from the admit card, as it does not contain the exact exam centre address or reporting instructions, which will be mentioned separately on the hall ticket.
JEE Main Paper 1 is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, as well as institutions and universities funded or recognised by participating state governments. The exam also serves as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is held for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). JEE Main Paper 2 is conducted for admission to BArch and BPlanning courses.
JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip Live Updates: Once the city intimation slip is released, candidates can download it by logging in on the official website using their application number and date of birth, and are advised to keep a copy for reference until the examination process is completed.
