Euphoria season 3 trailer: Zendaya faces ghosts of her past.
Euphoria Season 3 trailer: Four years after the second season, HBO has finally unveiled the trailer of Euphoria Season 3. The third instalment was previously rumoured to be shelved, however, in the past one year, with many actors associated with the show confirming their return, fans were hopeful that the show would be back sooner than later. Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, who started as lesser known actors on Euphoria have all become major Hollywood stars in this time span. Creator Sam Levinson’s associaton with the network was also under the scanner, especially since the massive backlash for his 2023 show The Idol.
The trailer starts with Zendaya’s character Rue running on the street. We learn that she’s now out of school. “I don’t know if life was exactly what I’d wished, but somehow, for the first time, I was beginning to have faith,” she says, while sitting in a church. However, as a character tells her at the end of the trailer, “Let’s see if he believes in you.” Because the very next instance, we see familiar devils surround her and take her in as her past catches up with her.
It’s not just her life that’s in shambles. Jacob Elordi’s Nate Jacobs is busy working hard all day, only to find his wife, Sydney Sweeney’s character Cassie Howard, is “spread-eagled on the internet”. Cassie, busy taking bold, provocative photos for her social media, looks confused and defends herself by saying, “I was just making content.” Jules (Hunter Schafer), Maddy (Alexa Demie) and Lexi (Maude Apatow) also make an appearance here.
Colman Domingo returns as a guest star, with Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry upped to series regulars alongside fresh faces, including Rosalia, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace. Sharon Stone will also make an appearance.
Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria season 3 premieres in India on JioHotstar on April 12.
