Thalapathy Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan has been postponed.
The release of the much-awaited Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances, producer of the big budget movie announced on Wednesday night. Meyaada Maan (2017) director Rathna Kumar also showed his solidarity with Vijay on X. “It’s painful to see big films getting postponed time and again for the past few months (heartbreak emoji). Tamil film industry is in grave danger. Stay Strong @actorvijay sir and Team #JanaNayagan. You have revived Tamil cinema during covid times. We know you will do it for the One Last time (teary-eyed emoji). Padam enniki release aagutho anniki thaan FESTIVAL.”
On Wednesday night, KVN Productions shared a note saying they understood the anticipation, excitement, and emotions surrounding the film. However, “it is with a heavy heart that we share this update with our valued stakeholders and audiences. The release of Jana Nayagan, eagerly awaited on January 9 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control.” The production house said in a statement that the decision of postponement has not been an easy one. “The new release date will be announced at the earliest,” it added. KVN Productions requested patience and love from people and said: ”Your unwavering support is our greatest strength and means everything to the entire Jana Nayagan team.”
