‘This costs as much as a 7-bedroom flat in Mumbai’: Sunil Grover on Archana Puran Singh’s gigantic diamond ring; Krushna Abhishek says she demands a lot of money

The latest vlog by Archana Puran Singh offers a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes of The Great Indian Kapil Show. In the vlog, Archana takes viewers through her preparation at home on a shoot day and gives a sneak peek into what happens behind the scenes of the show. She shows the BTS moments from the episode that featured players from the Indian women’s cricket team on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

The clip begins with Archana’s son Ayushmann taking viewers through how Archana and her staff prepare for her shoot day. Her staff members show the wig she wears on the show, upon seeing which her husband Parmeet Sethi says, “If you blow dry natural hair so much than there would be no hair left, so this wig.” Archana’s staff member then shows the jewellery and other essentials that she carries, including dishwashing liquid and crockery that she travels with. “Pura gadi bhar jata hai (The whole car gets filled by her stuff),” he said.

After arriving on the sets of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Archana immediately sits down for her hair and makeup, following which she heads to Kiku Sharda’s vanity van to chit-chat with him. During their interaction, she says to him, “When we started on Netflix, we didn’t know if we will be back for another season. Now, we have done one, two and we may reach 40th season.” Kiku also admitted that he now respects women even more, as it takes a lot of time for him to get dressed as a woman for the show.

Archana then goes on set to meet the Indian women’s cricket team players and compliments them by saying, “You guys are unrecognisable, you all look so glamorous.” She later heads to Krushna Abhishek’s vanity van. During their interaction, Krushna reveals that the makers want Archana to participate in the celebrity cooking show, Laughter Chef, but they cannot afford her. He said, “Her demands has increased, she is demanding a lot of money. They can’t afford her, only Netflix can afford her.” Archana responded to his remark by saying, “What nonsense. You talk about yourself, even maybe Netflix couldn’t afford you.” Krushna then joked, “We say things like this then people from Income Tax department visit us.”

Archana then visits Sunil Grover’s vanity van, where he immediately shows Archana’s gigantic ring to the camera and says, “This is the cost of 7 bedroom, kitchen, hall flat in Worli in Mumbai.” Sunil then asks Archana, “How do you feel when we make fun of you?” To this, Archana responds, “I don’t feel bad at all. You guys are my own, you can say anything. Koe aur sala bahar ka bolke toh dekhe kuch.”

Ending the vlog, Archana Puran Singh shares, “This can be a special episode or this can be the 1st episode of Season 4, this now Netflix has to decide.” For the unversed, the episode featuring the Indian women’s cricket team was the second episode of Season 4. Season 4 had opened with Priyanka Chopra as the guest in Episode 1.
