IIT-Delhi students secure 1,275 job offers, pre-placement offers sees 33% surge

The institute also reported growing global interest, with students receiving “more than 35 international offers from prestigious organizations across multiple global regions, including Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, the UAE and the United Kingdom”.

Putting up a strong show, students at the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-D) have secured 1,275 job offers, including over 35 international opportunities by December this year, as the 2025-26 placement season continues.

According to a statement issued by the institute on Monday, more than 1,140 individual students have been placed so far, while over 300 pre-placement offers (PPO) have been received— marking a 33% surge from last year

Meanwhile, recruitment this year has also seen sustained interest from large multinational firms, financial institutions, consulting companies and technology majors.

Recruiters making double-digit offers on campus so far include Accenture Strategy and Consulting, Amazon, American Express, Barclays, Deutsche India Pvt Ltd, EY GDS, EY Parthenon, Google, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Microsoft, Qualcomm and Wells Fargo International Solutions Pvt Ltd, among others .

Reflecting on the season so far, Prof Naresh V Datla, Professor-in-Charge of the Office of Career Services (OCS), IIT Delhi, said, “IIT Delhi has witnessed a strong and encouraging placement season this year. The consistent performance of our students reflects their academic rigor, adaptability, and readiness for industry challenges.” He added, “We thank our recruiting partners for their continued trust and congratulate our students for their dedication and resilience”

The institute indicated that recruitment activity is expected to continue picking up in the coming months. “OCS continues to strengthen collaborations with diverse set of recruiters and job roles and expect more companies to recruit in the upcoming phase of the placement season to support our students’ job aspirations,” said Prof Suresh Neelakantan, Co-Professor-in-Charge, OCS

The placement season for the 2025–26 academic year will continue until the end of May.
