In addition to the capital infusion, OrbiMed’s Dr Sunny Sharma and Sumona Chakraborty will join Pee Safe’s board

The fresh capital will be used to expand its offline retail footprint, strengthen brand-led marketing, expand rapidly across quick commerce and marketplaces

Femtech startup Pee Safe has secured $32 Mn (about INR 288 Cr) in its Series C round from Netmeds-backer OrbiMed in a mix of primary and secondary share sale.

Pee Safe said that the fresh capital will be used to expand its offline retail footprint, strengthen brand-led marketing, while also expanding rapidly across quick commerce and leading marketplaces.

Founded in 2013 by Vikas Bagaria and Srijana Bagaria, Pee Safe was launched to bring affordable sanitary solutions with body-friendly products that focus largely on reducing health and wellness complications for women. Kumar joined as a cofounder of the brand in 2017.

Its product lineup includes organic cotton tampons, breast pads, panty liners, intimate wash products for both men and women, wipes, maternity care products and anti-pollution dust masks.

Pee Safe competes with brands such as Sirona, Sanfe, Nua Women, Plush, and market giants such as Johnson & Johnson as well as Procter & Gamble.

Sanitary and hygienic products is one of the high-demand categories in the consumer industry, driving investors to pour capital into the femtech segment. The global femtech market stood at $60.2 Bn in 2024 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 16% within the next decade, according to a Global Market Insights report.

Last year, badminton star Saina Nehwal joined menstrual hygiene brand Naarica as an investor and brand ambassador. Following which, Plush raised INR 40 Cr (around $4.6 Mn) in its Series B funding round led by Premji Invest’s former senior partner Rahul Garg last June, to strengthen its market presence, scale offline footprint and boost brand visibility.
