Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 has recorded over 4.30 crore registrations so far. As per official data, till January 9, 2026, the total number of participants stood at 4,30,18,173. Students account for the largest share with 4,00,41,236 registrations, followed by 24,03,234 teachers and 5,73,703 parents.
In the previous edition, Pariksha Pe Charcha was recognised by Guinness World Records for recording 3.53 crore registrations, last year.
According to official information, PPC 2026 will be held in January 2026, however the exact dates are yet to be announced. Students, teachers or parents who wish to apply for PPC 2026 can apply on the official website at innovateindia1.mygov.in, till midnight today, on January 11.
Students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, are eligible to participate. Participants are required to log in or sign up using a mobile number or email ID.
After logging in, applicants must select their category and participate in the MCQ-based activity by submitting questions or responses related to examinations, learning methods, or academic stress. A participation certificate is issued after successful completion of the process.
The MCQ-based activity forms a part of the selection process. For Pariksha pe Charhcha, registrations began on December 1, and January 11, 2026. Based on the responses received, a set of questions and suggestions from students, teachers and parents will be shortlisted. Selected participants may be invited for interaction during the programme. The format and participation details of the interaction will be announced separately.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is organised annually to provide a platform for discussions on examinations, preparation strategies, and related issues. The programme is conducted ahead of the board examination season and is aimed at addressing concerns raised by students and other stakeholders.
Last year, the eighth edition of the programme, was held on February 10. The interactive session was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and took place at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi, where students, teachers and parents participated in discussions related to examinations and exam-related stress.
The previous edition saw participation from students in over 245 countries, teachers from 153 countries, and parents from 149 countries. According to official data, the programme has expanded steadily over the years, with registrations increasing from around 22,000 participants in the first edition held in 2018 to 3.56 crore registrations in the earlier edition.
