Amy Schumer Files for Divorce From Husband Chris Fischer After 7 Years of Marriage

Since then, the Inside Amy Schumer alum has been leaning on the rest of her family.

"When things are at their absolute worst is when my family is the funniest," she shared in a Dec. 21 Instagram video. “Just when we hit rock bottom is when we can laugh the hardest.”

Amy touched on her support system again in a separate Instagram Story, sharing a quote from author Hannah Rosenberg reading, “My life is filled with the souls of women I love."

"Who show up on my doorstep to celebrate and grieve, who stand up for me when I put myself down," the post read. "If you have these women, remember: the soulmate is a wonderful thought but look how beautiful these love stories are. Look how they make you full.”

And most recently, Amy shared a rare look at her home life with her son, posting a picture of Gene playing with toys as she collapsed on a bed.

"Winter break you win okay!?!" she joked in the caption on Instagram. "You’ve shattered us all. Open the schools!!!!"

The actress and Chris gave Gene his first bath when he was almost 3 weeks old in 2019.

Two weeks after Gene's birth, Amy shared a photo of herself pumping, writing on Instagram, "Sending out love to the moms shaming me for doing standup last night!"

Amy captioned this photo of herself with two breast pumps, "Guys what are we doing tonight? #schumerpump #ootd."

On Mother's Day in 2019, the Inside Amy Schumer alum shared a glimpse into the not-so-glamourous part of giving birth.

"Ok here's my post baby annoying post and my takeaway from pregnancy," Amy wrote on Instagram in 2019 shortly after her son's birth. "Women are the s--t. Men are cool and whatever but women are f--king warriors and capable of anything. I was lucky enough to get to have a doula."

"I did Pilates with strong women and went for walks," she continued. "I threw up violently and felt sick mostly every day of my pregnancy. Hyperemesis is real and it's awful. But f--k, what they say is true. The second you give birth it's gone...All my friends. Friends I've had for 30 years or people who encouraged me to 'keep going' or telling me 'it will be worth it.' Thank you. Every woman I encountered is so willing to help and advise you and I felt all their strength. And you were right. Thank you ladies from my family."

After giving birth to her son on May 5, 2019, Amy wrote on Instagram, "New kid, who dis?"

Amy announced the birth of her and Chris' first child by calling him their "royal baby." (Gene was born hours before Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their own son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.)
