Amy’s comments come just over a week after she and Chris announced they were parting ways after seven years of marriage.
At the time, Amy noted, “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.”
And while the Trainwreck star’s post didn’t detail the cause for their break up, she did note that their split had not occurred because Amy had lost weight and thought she could “bag a basketball player” or because Chris is “a hot James Beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail.”
“Amicable and all love and respect,” the 44-year-old concluded her post. “Family forever.”
Amy—who has been candid about her ex’s autism diagnosis—had hinted that she and Chris were facing challenges at the beginning of December, writing on Instagram, “Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism. Fingers crossed we make it through he’s the best.”

"After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage," Alexa shared on Instagram Dec. 3. "This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we've shared."
She added, "We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way."
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum confirmed she and the TV producer had split after 11 years together, telling People in November, "After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce."
