Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper Express fare: The ticket booking for Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train will begin soon. Being the first such train in the country, there is a lot of excitement among the passengers to travel to key destinations such as Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri (NJP), Kamakhya and also regarding the fares of this premium train. The new orange-and-grey premium train will cover the 958-km journey in around 14 hours, reducing travel time by nearly six hours.
Speaking to Indianexpress.com, Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information & Publicity (ED-IP) at the Railway Board said that the fare for the Howrah to Kamakhya journey in the Third AC (3AC) category has been fixed at Rs 2,299. He further added that the fare from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri will be Rs 1334 and from Howrah to Malda Town will be Rs 960.
In the Second AC (2AC) category, the fare from Howrah to Kamakhya will be Rs 2,970. For the same class, tickets will cost Rs 1,724 from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri and Rs 1,240 from Howrah to Malda Town.
In the First AC (1AC) category, passengers will have to pay Rs 3,640 for travel from Howrah to Kamakhya. The fare from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri will be Rs 2,113, while tickets to Malda Town will be priced at Rs 1,520.
Between Kamakhya and Malda Town, the fare will be Rs 1,522 in Third AC, Rs 1,965 in Second AC and Rs 2,409 in First AC. For travel between Kamakhya and New Jalpaiguri, Third AC tickets will cost Rs 962, while the fare will be Rs 1,243 in Second AC and Rs 1,524 in First AC.
Apart from these, the passengers will also have to pay 5 per cent GST on the ticket price. For fare calculation on this premium Vande Bharat sleeper train, a minimum distance of 400 km has been set.
