The makers of Yash’s highly anticipated film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have unveiled the first look poster of Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth.
The poster presents Huma as Elizabeth in a strikingly gothic setting. She is seen standing confidently beside a vintage black car, dressed in an elegant black gown, with a solemn angel statue looming behind her amid a graveyard dotted with crosses.
Taking to his X handle, Yash shared Huma Qureshi’s first look and wrote in the caption, “Introducing Huma Qureshi @humasqureshi as ELIZABETH in – A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. #TOXIC #TOXIConMarch19th #TOXICTheMovie.”
Several fans flooded the comments section with appreciation for the stunning poster. “Giving Hollywood vibes,” a fan wrote. Another person commented, “Each and every poster stands tall at true Hollywood standards, matching visual sophistication of top-tier international cinema.” “19/3/26 boss is coming back,” a third comment read. A social media user also called Huma “vintage queen.”
The film’s director Geetu Mohandas spoke to Variety about casting Huma Qureshi and said, “Casting for this role was perhaps the trickiest. The character demanded a performer with high octane caliber and an undeniable presence. From the moment Huma entered my frame, I witnessed that she possessed something rare. She carried an effortless sophistication and intensity that immediately brought the character of Elizabeth alive for me.”
She added, “Huma is an actor who questions, probes, and challenges the artistic interpretation of a role and that dialogue became an essential part of our creative journey. She has always been known as a powerhouse of talent, but this performance will mark as a turning point for the arrival of an undeniable, commanding new presence on celluloid.”
Besides Yash and Huma Qureshi, Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups also features Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, Nayanthara and Akshay Oberoi. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana, the period ganster drama will release in theatres on March 19, 2026, clashing at the theatres with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2.
