Canadian travel vlogger Klaudia Falenta recently shared a distressing experience at the New Delhi Railway Station, claiming she was targeted by a scammer.

Detailing the incident in a reel, Falenta shared that she had gone to the railway station early in the morning to board a train to Varanasi when a man allegedly approached her and tried to mislead her.

According to her, the man said her ticket was not valid and attempted to take her to another office. She claimed that he was trying to make her miss her train so she would be forced to buy a ticket from him instead.

However, Falenta said the rest of her journey was hassle-free and pleasant. She also shared that she met a kind family on board who offered her suggestions on places to visit in Varanasi.

“I almost didn’t wanna include these clips, because it’s so out of my character to be angry like this, and I don’t like seeing it.” She added that she chose to share it to be honest with her audience, saying, “Travel is not always positive and happy and that’s when you grow the most as a person,” she wrote in the caption.

The display on the text reads, “This is why I hate train stations in Delhi.”

The video quickly went viral, with several users hailing Claudia for staying calm in such a stressful situation. “Oh I would have freacked out too. But I think your very strong. I was in India last August and tbh I couldn’t have done what you’re doing on my own. I’m really glad I got my friend with me (who lives in Dehli),” a user wrote.

“You’re so brave, I must say! I hope you made some wonderful memories in India and that it gives you the strength to keep traveling the world solo. May Lord Shiva protect you,” another user commented.

“You don’t have to be nice to the ones that want something from you. I don’t say you have to be rude just go on with your business and keep on walking. I hope Varanasi will be a pleasant experience,” a third user reacted.
