Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 29 Update: After crossing the Rs 1100 core mark globally, Ranveer Singh’s spy-thriller has now slowed down at the box office. On its fourth Friday, the film dipped down to single digits, the lowest single day earnings till now. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Aditya Dhar film collected Rs 8.75 crore on Friday, taking its domestic total to Rs 747.75 crore.
Dhurandhar recorded an overall theatre occupancy of 18 percent on January 2, with morning shows at 9.65 percent, afternoon shows at 20.32 per cent, and evening shows at 21.93 per cent. In the NCR, the film saw a 20 per cent occupancy across 921 shows, while Mumbai recorded an 18.33 per cent occupancy across 633 shows.
The film has already surpassed the worldwide lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (Rs 1,069.85 crore) and Jawan (Rs 1,163.62 crore). Dhurandhar now features among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, currently ranking sixth. However, the blockbuster is yet to overtake the worldwide collections of KGF Chapter 2, RRR, Pushpa 2 The Rule, Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, and Dangal.
Dhurandhar also managed to stay ahead of new releases such as Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Avatar: Ash and Fire. However, following the January 1 release of Dharmendra’s last movie Ikkis, a source told SCREEN that since the film is also distributed by Jio Studios, 50 per cent of Dhurandhar’s screens will be allotted to Agastya Nanda’s war drama.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar also features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun in key roles. Directed by Aditya Dhar and jointly produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the movie released on the big screen on December 5. The sequel of the film, Dhurandhar 2, is set to release in theatres on March 19, this year.
