Vijay fell at Chennai airport after getting mobbed by fans.
After actress Nidhhi Agerwal, Thalapathy Vijay was recently mobbed by fans. The actor landed at Chennai airport after returning from Malaysia, where he had attended the Jana Nayagan audio release event. While making his way to his car after stepping out of the airport, Vijay was mobbed by a sea of fans, as his security team struggled to escort him safely to his vehicle. During the audio launch event, Vijay had declared Jana Nayagan to be his swansong before he solely focuses on his political career.
Videos circulating online show Vijay heading towards his car after exiting the airport terminal. He is seen surrounded by a massive crowd of fans. The actor kept his head down as his security personnel guided him through the chaos. Security officials are also seen tackling fans who jumped in front of Vijay in an attempt to get a glimpse of the star. As the crowd swelled around him amid loud screams, Vijay tried to make his way forward. However, right before entering the car, the actor reportedly fell and was immediately helped by security officials, who assisted him to his feet before he finally entered his vehicle.

At the audio launch event, Vijay spoke about his decision to give up cinema and dedicate himself to politics through his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Emphasising his bond with fans, he said, “When I entered the cinema, I thought I was building a small sand house here. But you all have built me a palace. Fans helped me build a fort… That’s why I’ve decided to stand for them. For the fans who gave up everything for me, I’m giving up cinema itself,” the actor said.
Recently, actress Nidhhi Agerwal was also a victim of a swelling crowd. Nidhhi was mobbed and manhandled as she exited The Raja Saab song launch event in Hyderabad a few days ago. Visuals of security officials helping Nidhhi towards her car, while she clutched her dupatta and pushed her way through the crowd, went viral on social media. The actress was later blamed by actor Sivaji, who blamed her ‘revealing outfit’ for the incident. However, Nidhhi hit back strongly and wrote on Instagram, “Blaming the victim is manipulation.”
