The National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 3 released the detailed notification and started the application for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG). Applicants will be able to apply online at cuet.nta.nic.in. The Agency had earlier announced the exam dates. The CUET UG 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 11 to May 31. The CUET UG 2026 exam pattern and syllabus have also been announced along with the information brochure
CUET UG will be conducted in 13 languages across India and overseas for admission to undergraduate programmes offered by Central Universities and other participating institutions.

While, the online submission of application forms will remain open till January 30, 2026, up to 11.50 pm, the last date for fee payment through credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI is January 31, 2026, up to 11.50 pm.
Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their online application forms between February 2 and February 4 up to 11.50 pm. The announcement of examination cities and the availability of admit cards on the NTA website will be notified later, NTA said. The display of recorded responses and answer keys, as well as the declaration of results on the NTA website, will also be announced in due course.
NTA had urged candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar details, UDID cards, and category certificates are updated. The Agency said this step is crucial to avoid discrepancies, grievances, or possible rejection of applications at later stages.
The CUET UG 2026 examination will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode for admission to undergraduate programmes across 47 central universities and over 300 colleges nationwide.
CUET UG 2025 was held between May 13 and June 4 over 19 days in 35 total shifts. In 2024, CUET UG was held between May 15 and 29 and in 2023 was held in phases from May 21 and June 23.
