Rajasthan DigiFest, in collaboration with TiE Global, hosted a Hackathon on December 15 at Vivekananda Global University (VGU) in Jaipur to promote technology-led problem-solving in the state.
The hackathon was organised as part of Rajasthan DigiFest 2025 and aligned with the 10th TiE Global Summit, bringing together students, early-stage innovators and technology professionals from across the country.
According to the organisers, the hackathon saw participation from more than 700 individuals forming over 250 teams, representing 54 cities across 12 states and Union Territories.
One of the key highlights was the strong participation from Tier II & III cities, with entries extending beyond major metropolitan centres. Of the total participants, over 150 were women innovators, while more than 550 were men, reflecting a mixed gender participation base.
The hackathon was supported by the Rajasthan government’s Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C), with Reskill acting as the execution partner and VGU serving as the venue partner.
The hackathon focussed on seven problem statements, including: digital agriculture and farmer support systems, smart health records and emergency response management, smart road infrastructure, smart surveillance and public safety, tourism intelligence and footfall analytics, unified civic grievance redressal, and water governance and smart utilities.
Participants were encouraged to build solutions using technologies such as AI, data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) and digital platforms, with a strong emphasis on scalability and alignment with public-sector requirements.
Winners were shortlisted across all seven themes following multiple evaluation rounds by an expert jury comprising members from government, industry, academia and the TiE ecosystem.
Beyond prizes, winning teams will receive a broader support package, including booth space at the TiE Global Summit 2026, access to potential investors, and grant-based and mentorship support to help refine and scale their solutions. Organisers said the structure is designed to bridge the gap between prototype development and real-world deployment.
