Deepika Padukone turned 40 on Monday. The actress is currently holidaying in New York, where she celebrated New Year with her family in the city and continues the celebrations with her birthday today. However,  a few days ago, the actor celebrated her birthday with her fans at a special fan meet she had organised in Mumbai. Photos from the fan meet have now gone viral on social media.

Photos and videos from the fan meet have been released, showing fans singing the Om Shanti Om track “Ankhon Mein Teri” for Deepika as she cut a giant birthday cake. The aesthetics of the fan meet have been widely lauded, with fans calling it the most beautifully decorated fan meet organised by any star. The maroon-themed décor looked stunning, with snacks served on a table adorned with roses. The entire setup of the fan meet looked straight out of a film set.

During the fan meet, Deepika wore a plum-coloured woollen cord set. The MC of the event also interviewed the actor, during which she answered several questions about her films. One video of her reacting to Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar success has gone viral. When asked about the film’s victory, she smiled and flexed her muscles. She was also seen flipping her hair in celebration of the film’s success. When a fan asked if they were going to also talk about other films, she said, “It’s all in the family guys.”

A fan took to Reddit to share inside details of the fan meet. The fan revealed that Deepika paid for the back-and-forth flight tickets of over 50 fans who travelled from all over India to attend the event. She also gifted them 5 kg gift hampers, which reportedly cost around Rs 15,000 per hamper.

The fan also shared that when one of the fans told Deepika that her dream destination was Paris, the actor agreed to make her dream come true, and her team exchanged numbers with the fan. Another fan asked the actor if she could dress her in one of her creations, and Deepika immediately agreed.

Another fan opened up about facing mental health struggles and shared how Deepika’s journey helped him. Deepika hugged the fan, got emotional, and told him off-mic that if he ever needed anything, she was there for him and asked him to let her know.

Deepika was set to star in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film The Intern. However, during her interaction with fans, she admitted that films like this are currently not working at the box office, which is why the makers are waiting for the right time to move forward with the project.

The fan also mentioned that Deepika served a delicious, top-tier lunch for fans, which included Mexican, Chinese, and Italian cuisines. The fan claimed that Deepika also spoke about leaving behind toxic people and choosing peace over toxicity over the past year.

Deepika also discussed motherhood and spoke about its challenges. She mentioned that she is a hands-on mother and, despite having help, prefers to do everything for her daughter Dua herself. She also shared that despite her responsibilities as a new mother, she is ready to make a full-fledged comeback after maternity from 2026.
