Looking back on the fashion moment that caused “quite a stir” 24 years later, J. Lo is still in awe of the legendary look.
“I guess every generation needs its iconic kind of ‘Marilyn’ dress and this is that dress for this generation,” she told Vogue in an interview published in 2024. “Why it became that? It was just a moment, you know? When the wind blew open and I walked out onto the stage and it just kind of happens."
And while the Grammys are known for some truly jaw-dropping memories, they’re equally as famous for their touching ones.
After all, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Demi Lovato took the stage at the 2020 awards show almost two years after a near-fatal overdose for a powerful performance of "Anyone," marking her first time singing live since being hospitalized.
Another emotional moment occurred in 2017 when Adele famously gave Beyoncé her flowers while accepting the award for Album of the Year.
"I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful and gracious,” the “Hello” singer said in her acceptance speech. “But my artist of my life is Beyoncé. And this album to me, the Lemonade album, is just so monumental.”
