Who Are Milo Manheim and Teagan Croft? Meet Tangled’s Live Action Stars

As for who will be taking over the role of Rapunzel’s evil Mother Gothel? While Scarlett Johansson was originally rumored to be in talks for the character, no casting announcement has been made at this time.

But one person who is eager to join the cast? Mandy. In fact, she even has an idea for how she could appear in the live action version.

"Maybe I could be Rapunzel's mom," she joked with Elite Daily in 2024. "Let's have a real mother-daughter duet, and have someone write an original song so we can talk about our differences and how hard it is to be a young person in this world."

Milo Manheim is best known for playing the character of Zed in Disney’s Zombies franchise. The son of actress Camryn Manheim and former model Jeffrey Brezovar, he made his TV debut alongside his mom in a 2009 episode of Ghost Whisperer. In 2018, he appeared on Dancing With the Stars, coming in second place with partner Witney Carson. He officially made his big screen debut in 2023’s Journey to Bethlehem where he got to show off his musical skills, which he again put to use in 2025 when he took over the role of Seymour in the off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors.

Australian-born Teagan Croft is best known for playing the character of Raven on the TV-adaptation of DC Comic’ Titans. Before her turn as the comic heroine, she made her big screen debut in 2016 in the Australian sci-fi film The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One. She made her TV debut that same year in the Australian soap opera Home and Away. In 2023, she starred in True Spirit, taking on the real-life role of Jessica Watson, who attempted a solo global circumnavigation at the age of 16.

Milo is taking on the role of Flynn Rider in the live-action adaptation of 2010’s animated Disney film Tangled, a role made famous by Zachary Levi in the cartoon. Teagan will be donning her finest princess wardrobe as she plays the role of Rapunzel, who was voiced by Mandy Moore in the original.

As of now, there is no confirmed release date for the live action version of Tangled.

The film is set to be directed by The Greatest Showman’s Michael Gracey, with a script by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who penned the screenplay for Thor: Love and Thunder. While composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater were behind the music for the original cartoon—and nabbed a joint 2011 Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for "I See the Light”—there is no confirmation if they will be coming on board with any new songs for the live action version.
