The latest three-minute, eleven-second trailer is cleverly packed with majestic visuals that promise a never-before-seen experience, with an unhinged Prabhas and an equally strong Sanjay Dutt at its centre. Although the promo doesn’t reveal much about the movie’s plot, it nonetheless offers enough glimpses to showcase the many facets of The Raja Saab, affirming that the film will deliver an equal blend of horror, comedy, mass appeal, action and drama, among other elements.
The trailer has also received positive responses from fans, who have expressed their excitement for the film’s release. In fact, the last shot, where Prabhas appears in the Joker getup from the Batman movies, seems to have impressed netizens the most. “Still awestruck by this trailer. Breathtaking and impactful. Amazed by Prabhas garu’s looks, king-size visuals and Thaman, as usual, at his best, taking us into his trance,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“For those who underestimated director Maruthi, like me… I’m so excited and curious now to watch the movie. This looks so good, man,” another Twitterati wrote. Calling the trailer “fantastic,” one person noted, “It’s story-driven. Full of thrills. The fantasy element is mixed with horror and comedy in an entertaining and believable way. Prabhas looks superb. His variation in dialogue delivery is thoroughly entertaining. Director Maruthi imagines big and doesn’t miss out on his core strengths. Thaman’s music is a huge plus.”
Also starring Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab in key roles, The Raja Saab boasts music by Thaman S, cinematography by Karthik Palani, editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, and production design by Rajeevan. The movie will hit the screens on December 9, coinciding with Sankranti, thus locking the horns with ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.
