It will be exactly two years in January 2026 since Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced Love & War. The project instantly generated enormous buzz, thanks to its formidable ensemble cast led by what are arguably three of the finest actors working in contemporary Bollywood: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. At the time of its announcement, Love & War was slated for a grand Christmas 2025 release. However, the film missed that date, following which it was expected to arrive in theatres on Eid 2026. That plan, too, now appears uncertain. Ongoing shooting delays have once again pushed the timeline, sparking speculation about whether the film will manage a 2026 release at all.

Amid the continuous delays and industry chatter, Vicky Kaushal recently opened up about his experience of working on the film in a conversation with Just Too Filmy. Speaking with admiration and gratitude, the actor said, “It’s on the bucket list of every actor to be a part of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. I’ve admired his films, I’ve admired him as a filmmaker, and I think he’s truly a unique voice from India, someone who has a vision, who tells stories in ways nobody else can. He truly is a master of the craft of filmmaking. I genuinely feel blessed that in just ten years of my career, I’m getting to be a part of his film with two fantastic actors that we all adore, Ranbir and Alia. So yes, we are filming right now. We are having a great time filming it, and we’ll see you next year.”

Beyond work, Vicky Kaushal recently experienced a major personal milestone. The actor, who recently became a father to a baby boy, spoke about this new phase of life at an NDTV event where he was honoured for his acting. With a touch of humour and visible emotion, he shared that he is now “better at changing diapers than acting.” Reflecting on fatherhood, he added, “It is too new to feel any challenges. It’s all magical right now. It’s all very blissful right now… I don’t know main shabdon mein nahi bayan kar sakta ke kya feeling hai (I can’t describe the feeling in words). It’s just a very special feeling, and, truly, God has been very kind. The family is very happy, and this one is for my entire family and especially for him.”

Professionally, 2025 has also been a great year for the actor. His film Chhaava performed exceptionally well at the box office and went on to become the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
