Watching a sibling — the same person you spent countless summer holidays with running around the house, teaming up with to convince parents for that one sleepover at a friend’s place — walk down the aisle and take the saat pheras is an overwhelming feeling. We are sure Kriti Sanon felt something similar as she watched her sister Nupur exchange vows with her boyfriend and playback singer Stebin Ben.

The couple tied the knot at Raffles Udaipur, with their close friends and family in attendance. For the wedding, Nupur chose a peach marmalade-and-coral red ombré lehenga from Manish Malhotra’s collection. The ensemble had badla and zardozi work all over, with double-body dupattas framed by a mukaish embroidered red border, and a peach-hued veil with vows in regional languages stitched across the fabric. Heirloom jewels from Malhotra’s atelier completed her bridal look.

Next to her, Stebin looked handsome in an ivory sherwani featuring gold brocade with zardozi and dori work, paired with an organza stole traced with matching motifs. Twin ruby brooches on the tissue safa, and the sherwani pulled his look together.

In the pictures posted by the couple and the designer, we see Kriti and her entire family draped in Manish Malhotra couture. From carrying the phoolon ki chadar with her brothers, to the sindur ceremony, the Do Patti actor played the dutiful role of the ‘dulhan ki behen’ (sister of the bride). She chose an ivory lehenga with gold and red brocade and zari work, paired with a golden brocade blouse, for the Hindu ceremony. Emerald jewels added a touch of contrast to her look.

During the Christian ceremony, Kriti joined the rest of the bridesmaid gang in a matching one-shouldered teal satin gown, designed by sister Nupur’s label NoBo.

For the sangeet night, she looked stunning in Abhinav Mishra’s Roshanara lehenga in blue and pink, featuring a kurti-style blouse with a plunging neckline. Videos of another look surfacing online show her breaking a leg and enjoying the night away in a dark blue asymmetrical top and skirt from Tarun Tahiliani couture. She styled the look with smokey eyes and sleek, straightened hair.
