“I think it just like happened that way,” Jenner told Harper’s Bazaar in May after she and Chalamet posed for photos at the 70th David di Donatello ceremony in Rome.
But she wasn't talking about her date.
“Even, recently I was like, ‘I can’t wear another black dress,'" she continued. "And then of course the most perfect, gorgeous Schiaparelli black dress shows up.”
Fashion, it's always about the fashion. But then again, there can be clues in clothes.
"I don't know how I feel about that," Jenner told the New York Times in March 2024 when asked if she had thoughts on the Internet's assumption her love life was manifesting in some tweaks to her style. "I just don't want to talk about personal things."
As for Chalamet, while he knows every move he makes will garner interest—"I can’t say that this stuff doesn’t matter," he told GQ for its November 2023 cover story, "because my intense fandom has led me to where I am"—he wouldn't mind being left alone just a bit.
Though he acknowledged the irony of wanting to keep something to himself while dating someone with 393 million Instagram followers. (And he's hardly an unknown with 19.7 million.)
Referencing a South Park episode that parodied Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's concerns about privacy while simultaneously opening a door into their world via interviews, a docuseries and a best-selling memoir, Chalamet said, "Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you’re trying to live a private life."
Though Jenner's been on reality TV in one form or another since middle school, she has been known to take the occasional break from big reveals.
But while Jenner has yet to call Chalamet by the name of boyfriend (out loud while talking into a recording device, that is), their bond is strong.
Kris was onboard early, not-so-subtly shipping her youngest child's romance with the movie star when she reposted a teaser for his November 2023 Saturday Night Live hosting gig and later attending the A Complete Unknown after-party.
Chalamet also got the thumbs-up from more than his girlfriend's mom, exchanging a hug with Kris' boyfriend Corey Gamble at a Feb. 27 L.A. Lakers game.
The familial support runs both ways, meanwhile, with his sister Pauline Chalamet in the audience for Jenner's walk down the runway for Coperni during Paris Fashion Week last October.
And even if Chalamet and Jenner never speak directly on the subject, pictures can say a lot. Press on and see their romance in photos: Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet first sparked romance rumors in April 2023 after her split from Travis Scott, with whom she shares kids Stormi, born in 2018, and Aire, born in 2022.
E! News confirmed in August 2023 that the Kardashians star and the Dune actor were still an item, despite reports claiming they’d called it quits.
Later that same month, the couple attended the U.S. Open in New York.
It was love-all at the US Open in September 2023.
When Kylie's level of fame was brought up during Timothée's recent discussion with GQ about privacy, he responded with a laugh.
"This reminds me of that recent South Park episode with the Worldwide Privacy Tour," he said, referencing the show's parody of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. "Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you're trying to live a private life."
Though the two skipped walking the red carpet together, they were all smiles on their date night to the 2023 award ceremony.
...it's Kylie and Timothée. The pair arrived separately at the SNL after-party after the actor hosted the show in November 2023.
It was only lovers in the building as the 2024 Golden Globes doubled as a TImothée-and-Kylie kiss cam. And there was nary a rumor that could puncture their blissful bubble.
For the second straight year, Kylie was Timothée's date to the Golden Globes 2025. The actor scored a nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture—Drama for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. Though he ultimately lost to Adrien Brody, he won in the romance category with Kylie.
While Kylie did not join Timothée at the 2025 Oscars, where he was nominated for his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, she was by his side at Vanity Fair's after-party.
The duo enjoyed a night out at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves game in L.A. in April 2025.
The couple walked their first red carpet together at the 70th David Di Donatello award ceremony in Rome, where Timothée was honored with a special prize for his acting.
Kylie's sister Kendall Jenner joined the pair on their date at the New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics game at Madison Square Garden in N.Y.C.
Kylie took a trip to Budapest in August 2025 to visit Timothée while he was filming Dune: Part Three. The couple posed for photos with fans during a trip to a local coffee shop.
