Australian allrounders Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland have withdrawn from the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) due to personal reasons. Pacer Sayali Satghare was named as a replacement for the former in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad. Leg-spinner Alana King, who played for UP Warriorz last season, will replace the latter in the Delhi Capitals (DC) squad.

“RCB have named Sayali Satghare as a replacement for Perry. Satghare will join RCB at her reserve price of INR 30 lakh.”

“DC have named Alana King as a replacement for Sutherland. The Australian leg-spinner, who represented UP Warriorz in the previous season, has featured in 27 T20Is and picked up 27 wickets. King will join DC at a reserve price of INR 60 lakh,” WPL said in a statement.

Both Perry and Sutherland were retained by their respective franchises, ahead of the mega auction in November.

Additionally, Tara Norris, who was picked by the Warriorz, was also forced to withdraw from the upcoming season after she was selected in the USA squad for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, scheduled to be held in Nepal from 18 January – 1 February next year. Australian allrounder Charli Knott was named Norris’ replacement at a reserve price of Rs 10 lakh.

“Left-arm medium pacer Tara Norris has been selected for the USA national team for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, scheduled to be held in Nepal from 18 January to 1 February 2026. As a result, she will be unavailable for the TATA Women’s Premier League 2026, which begins on 9 January.”
