Sports ministry allows NSFs to defer elections until December 2026

Through a letter dated 22nd December 2025, the ministry notified all the federations that, in order to implement the foundational changes required by the newly passed National Sports Governance (NSG) act, the federations will be allowed to defer the elections till December 2026.
