RBI stress test findings: Banks’ gross non-performing assets may improve to 1.9% by FY27 from 2.1% in Sept 2025

On Tuesday, data from the RBI’s annual Trends and Progress of Banking in India report showed that gross NPAs of scheduled commercial banks in India hit multi-year lows of 2.1 per cent as at September-end 2025, from 2.2 per cent at the end of March.
