
Cyber fraud refunds crossed Rs 3.21 crore in Panchkula; mobile recoveries a success: Police
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Manpreet Singh Sudan, cybercrime cases showed a decline from 169 last year to 156 this year, while arrests nearly doubled from 91 to 173. Over Rs 11 crore in proceeds of cybercrime was frozen across two years, with refunds to victims rising from Rs 1.35 crore in 2024 to Rs 3.21 crore in 2025. The Cyber Cell also traced and returned 150 missing mobile phones valued at nearly Rs 22.5 lakh.
