“We're gonna get married in Cancun, but we had to get married in the States first,” Rick told People at the time. We didn't want to go to the courthouse, so we had a flashy little wedding.”
And since Rick said the couple’s close friends and family were in attendance, Corey may have gotten to at least see his dad say ‘I do’ once.
“We are so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife and celebrate with friends and family in Las Vegas,” the couple added, “and also at our wedding later this month.”
Corey is far from the only star to experience a traumatic accident. Marvel star Jeremy Renner recently spoke out about his infamous 2023 snowplow accident that caused 30 broken bones and nearly killed him.
"I didn't want to come back," Jeremy admitted on Kelly Ripa’s Let's Talk Off Camera podcast in May 2025. "I was brought back and I was so pissed off."
Of course, years later and after a full recovery, Jeremy shared that it has changed his life for the better.
"I invest into love and my shared relationships that I experienced love with,” he explained, “'cause that is the only thing that you take with you."
