Priyanka Chopra has finally unveiled the first look of her much-awaited film The Bluff. The film will also star The Boys actor Karl Urban. Priyanka shared stills from the film on social media which showed her performing some action as she plays the role of Ercell Bodden, a former pirate, also known as Bloody Mary.
The film is a pirate adventure set in the late 1800s. The stills shared by Priyanka show her engaged in a sword fight with Karl Urban. Another scene features her sitting with her family and speaking into a mic at a gathering. The following photos show her as a pirate on a ship, while one striking visual shows her bloodied and aiming a pistol at someone. Priyanka captioned the post, “Mother. Protector. Pirate. Meet Bloody Mary #TheBluff February. 25. 2026 Only on @primevideo.” Nick reshared the post and gave a shout out to Priyanka. He wrote, “Can’t wait the world to see how absolutely incredible Priyanka is in this movie.”
According to Esquire, Priyanka plays the character of an ex-pirate known as Bloody Mary, who has escaped her violent past and settled on an island, becoming a prominent member of the community and building a family. However, her past life comes knocking when her former crew seeks revenge against her for stealing their gold. She is forced to return as Bloody Mary to protect her family.
As per the report, the film will be far from the glamorous pirate roles shown in mainstream cinema. Instead, it will be a nail-biting, gritty and brutal portrayal of the harsh lives pirates lived. Karl Urban will play the role of Captain Connor. Speaking about her role, Priyanka told the publicationn, “I did not know anything about females who were pirates. I didn’t know that was a concept that actually happened or that women had captained their own ships at a time where piracy—real piracy—was not the Disney version of it. It was scary, it was bloody, it was brutal.”
The cast also features Temuera Morrison as Quartermaster Lee, who serves as Captain Connor’s advisor, along with Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, Zach Morris, David Field, and Vedanten Naidoo. The Bluff is produced by the Russo Brothers, with whom Priyanka had previously collaborated on the web series Citadel. The Bluff will release on February 5 on Prime Video.
Meanwhile, both Priyanka and Nick have been sharing adorable moments from their family time. While Priyanka offered a glimpse of them playing the ‘Whitney Houston Challenge’ with family and friends, Nick shared a video of himself admiring Priyanka’s beauty. He pans the camera to Priyanka smiling and then cheekily moves it towards a balloon dragon, leaving fans amused. He wrote, “She is pretty and stuff.”
Priyanka was last seen in 2025’s Heads of State, also starring John Cena and Idris Elba. She is also looking forward to SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, which marks her return to Indian movies.
