But seeing as how Liam's off-and-on relationship with Miley Cyrus unfolded in the spotlight for more than a decade, it's understandable if he wanted to play these cards closer to his chest. And Gabriella previously dated The 1975's Matty Healy, who, in his own words, "put her through the mill, brought her closer, pushed her away, brought her closer."
Suffice it to say, both she and Liam were ready for something new.
"I've been so lucky this year," Gabriella told Harper's Bazaar Australia toward the end of 2023, having jetted all over the world for work. "But I think the highlight is always coming home. I've enjoyed every minute of all the travel but there's something so special about that feeling when you get off the plane and you're home."
No surprise, she and Liam rang in 2026 with friends and fireworks by the Sydney waterfront, the city's famed Harbor Bridge providing a striking backdrop for some of Gabriella's New Year's' Eve photos.
But that too was a rare glimpse into the 29-year-old's private world.
"My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me," Gabriella told Stellar in 2021. "And I feel like, in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself."
Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks made their red carpet debut as a couple in November 2022 at the premiere of Poker Face.
