In a clinical bounce-back performance, defending champions Mumbai Indians secured a dominant 50-run victory over the Delhi Capitals at the DY Patil Stadium. After an early setback, senior stalwarts Nat Sciver-Brunt (70 off 46) and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (74 off 42)* anchored the innings to propel Mumbai to a formidable 195/4. Delhi’s chase never gained momentum as they collapsed to 33/4 in the Powerplay; despite a spirited 56 from Chinelle Henry, a disciplined bowling effort led by Amelia Kerr (3/24) and Nicola Carey (3/37) bundled them out for 145, handing new DC captain Jemimah Rodrigues a losing start to the season.
