But the All’s Fair actress hasn’t just spoken about her love for one of her earliest Hollywood crushes as of late. In fact, she recently detailed her friendship with costar Leonardo DiCaprio—also nominated at the Critics Choice Awards—and the advice he has given her for awards season.
“Pacing myself and having fun with it,” she told E! News Dec. 9 of her costar’s encouragement. “Don’t start going down no rabbit holes, just have fun with it and that’s exactly what I’m doing.”
Beyond Leo’s advice for awards season, Teyana has previously noted that she and the Oscar winner built a strong bond while working together, too.
“Leo is a good time,” she told E! at the One Battle After Another premiere in September. “He’s so much fun. That’s my brother. He’s a mentor and a great leader on set.”
And the feeling is, of course, mutual for the Titanic star.
“She’s got the best sense of humor,” Leo added to E! at the premiere. “I knew when she was brought into this movie, I was like, ‘This girl is gonna bring the heat.’ And she did. She’s an amazing hang. She’s awesome.”
