“Best Podcast is a very important category for me, because, before podcasts, I was what y’all would listen to driving around in your cars,” Snoop joked. “To you podcasters, you better hope I don’t get in that game.”
The “California Gurls” rapper went on to joke about the fierce competition, adding, “shout-out to all of the podcasters. You all are winners, but the real winner is…”
And when the Parks and Recreation alum—who shares sons Archie, 17, and Abel, 15, with ex and fellow nominee Will—was announced as the winner, she continued Snoop’s tongue and cheek demeanor in her own acceptance speech.
“I don’t know about award shows, but when they get it right, it makes sense,” Amy joked. “I have great respect for all the people I am nominated with, I am big fans of all of you, except for NPR, just a bunch of celebs phoning it in.”
