The rally followed an exchange filing in which Lenskart said the board of Lenskart Solutions Pte. Ltd., Singapore, its wholly owned subsidiary, had approved an investment of KRW 3 billion, or about Rs 18.6 crore, to acquire a 29.24% stake in iiNeer Corp., Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Korea.

The company said the investment supports its efforts to build proprietary capabilities in core equipment and is expected to improve operating efficiencies and reduce equipment capital expenditure over time.

The Korea update comes shortly after another overseas transaction disclosed earlier this week.
