The National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked all the aspirants of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Post Graduate (PG) to complete the application process by January 14. The application must be filed on the official website — exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg — by 11:50 pm. Candidates need to fill out and submit the online application form, paying the prescribed examination fee. Also, they will need to download and retain the confirmation page for future reference.

The notice also reiterated that only candidates who have successfully paid the fee will be considered as having completed the application process. Candidates are also advised to carefully review their particulars before making a fee payment, as no changes will be permitted later.

CUET PG 2026 will continue to be conducted for 157 subjects, with each paper carrying a duration of 90 minutes. The structure and format of the examination remain unchanged.

Additionally, the Agency has allowed applicants greater flexibility in choosing their exam centres. As per the notification, applicants will now be able to select up to four examination city preferences while filling out the Common University Entrance Test for postgraduate programmes. These city options must be chosen within the state of the candidate’s permanent or current residence.

NTA has also confirmed that candidates who have already submitted their CUET PG 2026 application forms will be given a chance to modify or add their exam city choices. This option will be available during the application correction window scheduled from January 18 to January 20, 2026, subject to the availability of examination centres.

The move comes after NTA earlier revised the list of exam cities for CUET PG 2026. The total number of centres has been reduced from 312 to 292, with the examination set to be conducted across 272 cities in India and 16 cities overseas. Despite the changes to exam locations, the agency has clarified that there are no revisions to the exam pattern or subject list.
