Noting that she bruises “so easily” and has experienced “bad” swelling while healing, Jessi explained later in the clip, “I would give anything to have my old face back right now. I am hating how I look. This is not what I want to look like, I'm not choosing to look like this… right now, it’s just a mind trip.”
Jessi first shared her plans to get the plastic surgeries in a TikTok on Jan. 14, noting that after she lost approximately 20 pounds—a majority of which was in her face—she noticed “extra skin” under her eyes and her face sinking in from the weight loss.
The influencer confirmed that she received an upper and lower blepharoplasty, which “removes excess skin from the eyelids,” according to the Mayo Clinic. She also had facial fat grafting performed to produce collagen and restore the lost volume in her face.
Jessi called the procedure a “better option or replacement for filler” as she noted how doctors used fat from her outer thighs and injected it into her face. However, the big catch was that the procedure causes bruising and swelling—which led to criticism of her appearance.
“People have been really mean online,” she explained in her Jan. 20 video, “and I understand I’m choosing to share this, so it comes with criticism and backlash.”
Emphasizing that she simply couldn’t “disappear for two months” given her job as a full-time content creator, Jessi pleaded for fans to be kinder with their messages.
“It sucks that I'm getting a lot of harassment and bullying for something I chose to do for myself,” she said. “I didn't hurt anyone, it doesn't affect anyone, and I’m having to delete comments constantly.”
She added, “It's OK to do things that help you feel good about your insecurities.”
While she continues to prioritize her mental health, Jessi said she was also doing her part to keep the swelling down. Aside from the steroid injections, the mom of two has been icing her face and getting lymphatic facials every day, as well as following a keto and anti-inflammatory diet.
As for whether she has plans to get more procedures? Jessi had one firm answer, revealing in her Jan. 14 TikTok: “This is the last surgery I have planned until I need a face lift in my 50s.”
Jessi isn’t the only celebrity who has gotten candid about going under the knife. Read on for more stars who have shared their experiences with plastic surgery.
