Everything We Learned From Taylor Swift's ‘The End of an Era’ Docuseries There's no bad blood between Lewis Capaldi and T aylor Swift . Taylor and Lewis sparked rumors while appearing on the same episode of The Graham Norton Show in October—Taylor for an interview to promote her Life of a Showgirl album, and Lewis to perform his single “Something in the Heavens.” But when host Graham Norton asked Lewis about his new EP, the musician said he "was told I wasn’t allowed to talk about” it, leading some viewers to blame Taylor, assuming he wasn't able to promote his Survive EP because the show was focused on Taylor's album. However, Lewis has cleared the air and shared the rumor was absolute "hogwash." Rather, his EP hadn't yet been formally announced, and he had been instructed by his record label to try and keep it under wraps. “I saw a TikTok about that. And it’s a woman being like, ‘Taylor did this, and she’s evil,’ and this and that. And I’m going like, ‘That’s completely made up,'" he said on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show Dec. 11. "Basically, my EP hadn’t been announced yet." Still, Graham knew about the project, as he was the one who posed the question, and Lewis agreed that fans had an inkling about his new music—he just wasn't officially meant to speak on it just yet. "So, I was told by my label, ‘Don’t tell people before you go on.' Not like a, ‘You can’t tell people.’ It was like, ‘It’s not been announced yet, so don’t tell people,'" he explained. "And then we went on Graham Norton , and Graham said, ‘You’ve got this new EP coming out.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I thought I wasn’t meant to mention it.’” Ultimately, the "Someone You Loved" singer said the claim that Taylor had been the source of any negativity "was complete f--king bulls--t." Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic In fact, Taylor was nothing but supportive during their shared appearance. At one point on the episode, just before Lewis hesitated to speak about the EP, the "Karma" singer even shared her admiration for his performance. "The song is beautiful," she told Lewis in front of the audience. "Like an angel." Taylor knows all too well what it's like to be blamed for senseless rumors, but she always shakes it off.
