Healthcare education startup Virohan has raised INR 65 Cr ($7.3 Mn) as part of its ongoing Series B funding round

Founded in 2018 by Kunaal Dudeja, Nalin Saluja and Archit Jayaswal, Virohan operates in the allied healthcare education space. It trains students for roles such as medical lab technicians, phlebotomists and operation theatre technicians, working closely with colleges, universities and healthcare companies.
It claims to have tied up with over 20 higher education institutions and worked with more than 2,000 employers so far.
Virohan says it has trained over 13,000 learners to date. With the latest funding, the startup plans to scale its education-to-employment model in India and, over time, in overseas markets as well.
The startup said its courses focus on addressing the shortage of trained allied healthcare staff in India, where demand for technicians continues to outpace supply.
Virohan positions itself as a link between classrooms and hospitals, diagnostic labs and healthcare service providers, aiming to ensure students are trained for roles that are currently in demand rather than purely academic qualifications.
So far, Virohan has raised more than $20 Mn in funding, including a $7 Mn pre-Series B round in 2023 led by Blume Ventures. Earlier investors in the company include Bharat Inclusive Technologies Seed Fund and Rebright Partners.
With earlier rounds, the startup had said it planned to expand to more than 200 campuses across India and train over 7,000 students. It has also been working on expanding its training programmes, adding vernacular content and strengthening its hybrid, online-offline delivery model.
The company has previously indicated plans to explore overseas markets, including Japan, with support from its investors.
