Two children sustained minor injuries after a school bus crashed into a parked garbage collection truck at Nagaram in Medchal district on Tuesday (December 9) morning. The accident was reported around 7.30 a.m. when a bus belonging to Divine Grace School rammed into a stationary lorry at Rampally X roads. Police said the vehicle was travelling at high speed when it hit the truck from the rear. “At the time of the accident, only two students, siblings studying in Classes I and III, were on board. The crash occurred immediately after the first pick-up. Both children sustained minor injuries and were administered first aid,” an official from Keesara police said. A case has been registered against the bus driver, identified as Raju, for rash and negligent driving. He has been served a notice. Further investigation is under way.
